Nathaniel Glass is a commercial and narrative producer and director. He has many years of experience freelancing for clients as varied as the Olympics, ESPN, Walmart, Wild Turkey, Tiny House Nation, and Tracktion Software. He founded Embark Visuals with two colleagues, in 2012, before moving on to work as the creative director for Ellis Pro Media and Academy AV, where he has created modern training video resources and built a strong subscriber base on YouTube. Academy AV has received rave reviews for its premiere content and clear explanations. Glass is now partnering with Joshua Overbay at Solis Films to provide clients with story-based advertising work.
As a filmmaker, Glass explores stories that ask questions about the nature of truth and the root of human motivations. He has worked in various capacities on numerous feature films, including “Hope Bridge” and “Burning Kentucky”. His first produced feature, “As It Is In Heaven,” was released theatrically to high critical acclaim and has picked up VOD (Video on Demand) syndication.
Joshua Overbay (MFA) is a director, producer, and writer of narrative films. Most recently, he completed the award-winning feature film “As It Is in Heaven.” The NY Times called it a “Critic’s Pick”, while The Hollywood Reporter described it as “ominous” and “quietly compelling.” Other major critics called it “absorbing”, “coolly mesmerizing”, “tantalizing”, and “devastating.” In 2015, his second feature film, Hope Bridge, was released and can be purchased at any Wal-Mart, Target, or Best Buy.
Before As It Is in Heaven, Overbay garnered 30 awards for his short films. His film, “Transposition,” was a 2009 National Finalist for the Student Academy Awards. Joshua has multiple projects in development including his next feature film, “The Binding” and his first feature documentary, “Wolves Among Us.” He has also taught courses in film production, screenwriting, and directing at Asbury University and Louisiana State University.
